There’s something about France from centuries ago that gives me the goosebumps. The femininity during the Rococo period, the over-the-top opulence of architecture from the Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles, the undeniable beauty of the French girl from that era. Uh, it’s just the best.  

So, naturally, I had to use these decadent visuals as the inspiration of our latest collection: Champagne & Macarons.

To make things all the more enchanting, we took the beauty of that era and modernized it to include messages of personal empowerment, feminism, and a reflection of what is going on right now. The simple notion that we are all better together.  

Here’s some more: We rise by lifting others up. Real queens always fix each other’s crowns. We were even inspired by @feminist's empowering Insta post, “not waiting for someone else to tell me I'm worthy of flowers.”

These inspirational concepts paired with the decadence and luxury from 18th century France became Champagne & Macarons: a makeup collection with stunning pinks and golds, buttery and silky-smooth textures, clean formulas, and beautiful packaging.

Sheer Pigment Lip Gloss in Parisienne + Fèministe

I wanted to complement the beautiful highlights on the face and washes of romantic color on the eyes. So, I used a universally flattering shade that showcases a soft pink hue reminiscent of traditional femininity, and as seen during the time of Marie Antoinette.
